I remember those days and sympathize.. When mine was a little over two she broke a cardinal candle holder that I didn’t think she could reach (wrong) then while i was cleaning that up she got a hold of some lipstick and covered her entire face and when i (loudly) asked what on earth she was doing she ran for the couch….you can see where this is going right? yeah lipstick covered face first into my light beige couch. I sent her to her room (for her own protection) and cried.

They’ll almost certainly be moved out before she outgrows those tendencies, so I’m just stuck for a while. Although I must admit nothing anywhere close to what you described has happened. Yet.

I told my daughter, when she hatched The Grandboy, take everything you hold dear, everything you value, everything you want to look at or touch in your senior years…. and lock them all in the back bedroom. Sure, your house might be naked for a few years, but the savings in stress-related nervous breakdowns will more than offset it.
